Pastor Chris Platt
Pastor Christopher Alexander Platt is the Senior Pastor of New Beginnings Church of Christ in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He completed his secondary education in Virginia Beach City Public Schools before enlisting in the United States Army in 1993. After being honorably discharged in 1996, he earned an Associate's degree in Computer Electronics and Networking, and became an entrepreneur with a flourishing business in 2005.
He married First Lady Karyn Platt in 1994 and has been blessed with three children — Krystin, Aaron and Mia — and one daughter in love, Brianna.
Pastor Platt faithfully served under the leadership of Pastor James E. Carlton for twenty-three years as Minister of Worship, Musician, Treasurer, Trustee, Deacon and Vacation Bible School Adult Teacher. Formally appointed Senior Pastor in July of 2020, the goal of his ministry is to spread the Word of God to the masses while carefully watching over and equipping the many souls God has placed in his care.
